The Padi Scuba Diver and Padi Open Water Diver courses are the first step into the exciting world as a certified Scuba Diver

 

As an Open Water Diver you are qualified to dive independantly, with a buddy, to a maximum depth of 18 meters. PADI certifications are accepted worldwide and open up a new world of adventure where ever you may go.

At 8 years of age children can start with Padi Bubble maker (max. depth 2 meter in Confined Water) or Padi Seal Team (max. 4 meter in a pool only).

At 10 years children can start with their Padi Junior Scuba Diver or Padi Junior Open Water Course (max. depth 12 meter) and after this with some specialities (contact us about this if you are interested) or with the Padi Junior Adventure Diver Course.

At 12 years children can start with their Junior Advanced Open Water Diver Course (max. depth 21 meter until 15 years) and with their Junior Rescue Diver Course.

Children under the age of 13 years are not allowed to do their theoretical diving part with Padi's Elearning.

Palm Beach Divers offers smaller groups for children, so the control and their safety will be guaranteed ! Best ofcourse are the family courses, so you can spend some fun family time together under water. 100% supervision, relaxation, fun, adventure, beautiful surroundings, sportive and environmental education for the whole family !!

 

 

 

 

PADI courses are structured to make it easy for you to learn. After watching some videos and taking a few quizzes, your instructor will take you diving into shallow water, to practise using all this new diving equipment and putting the skills you have learned into practise. After you feel comfortable diving in shallow water, you are ready to spend one or two days out on the boat to complete your open water dives under the direct supervision of your instructor.

The Open Water Diver course usually takes 3-4 days (if you choose to do the theory online with Elearning, youcan do the practise part in 2 days) and involves 5 short classroom sessions, some training in shallow water followed by 4 open water dives.

The Scuba Diver course is the first half of the Open Water Diver course, taking just 2 days. You complete 3 classroom sessions, shallow water training and 2 open water dives, with the option to continue onto your Open Water certification in the future.

After receiving the Scuba Diver certification you may complete the additional requirements for the Open Water course at a later date or straight away.

 

If you would prefer not to spend time in a classroom on your holiday you may now complete the theory part of the course online in your own time with Padi's Elearning.

If you do your diving theory for the Open Water Diver Course online, you can actually make your dive course 1 day shorter. If you really want to your can now complete the rest of your diving course in 2 or 3 days ! So more time for under water and a cheaper course !

If you however choose for the 3 or 4 days course, with 2 days on the boat (the Comfort package), then you get a 3rd dive for FREE on the last day from us, so you can make a start already for your Adventure Diver Course !
