Lanta Palm Beach Resort

Lanta Palm Beach Resort is situated on Lanta's longest, and arguably, most beautiful beach. The 3 km of pure white sand has been imaginatively named 'Long Beach' and is home to a whole host of rustic beach bars, restaurants and resorts.

 

Abdul (the owner) and his family have run the resort now for 15 years. They have high standards for hygiene, quality and service. It's easy to feel at home in a place like this.

 

The resort offers bungalows in 4 different price categories:

Bamboo Bungalow (very basic bamboo bungalow)

Wooden Thai-style bungalow with porch, cold water and fan.

Luxurious Bungalow (basic cement bungalow)

Concrete bungalow with porch, hot water shower and fan or airconditioning. Double bed or two twin beds is possible.

Superiour Luxurious Bungalow

Concrete bungalow with large porch, one double bed, hot water shower, air conditioning, television & fridge.

Family Superiour Luxurious Bungalow

Same as Superiour Bungalow, just a bit bigger, with 2 double beds inside.

 

Depending on the time of year you visit Koh Lanta, accommodation prices can vary a lot. High Season runs from the beginning of November to the end of April. During this time there is a Peak Season from start of December to end of February. Our Low Season (also called Green Season) runs from the beginning of May to the end of October.

It's worth booking well in advance if you plan to come during the Peak time as the resort can be fully booked some months in advance. We offer package prices if you would like to book your accommodation and diving at the same time.

Best times of the year to visit Koh Lanta (price, weather and having things to do) is between end of September and end of November and from beginning of February unil end of March. December and January are also nice months weatherwise, but the accommodation is everywhere fully booked, so the prices are high ! Although we dive and are open all year around, we do close when the weather gets too rough, this is from the end of April until half of May and sometimes we have some storms in June.

I know the lonely planet and rough guide might still give you the rainy season in other times of the year, but it is better to check it out before you get here. Write us an email or call us. The resort offers the following services: Restaurant, Bar, Internet, Laundry, Car & Motorbike Rental, Shop, Beach Massage, Travel Agent (for transfer, tickets, local tours such as Elephant Trekking & Thai Cookery) and an International Telephone and Fax service.

 

The Palm Beach Restaurant offers a great choice of Thai and European food, which we highly recommend. If you fancy exploring the local area, there are many different bars and restaurants on the beach, just a few minutes walk away from the resort. You can find Italian, German, Thai & other European food. And of course there are plenty of small Cocktail Bars so you can enjoy the breath-takingly beautiful sunset, every evening. Palm Beach Restaurant, Klapaklum Bar and Sans Bar are our favourite spots to catch the best sunsets.

 

Lantawadee Resort and Spa

Lantawadee Resort & Spa is located close to the Pra-Ae beach (Long beach), the beautiful beach of Lanta Island about 70 Kms. away from the center of Krabi Province Thailand. Lantawadee offers Fan rooms and Airconditioned Rooms. For families there is a Family room also. The rooms are very nice decorated and clean inside and are situated in a tropical garden.

The rooms have an attached, outside showers and toilets. This gives you the impression that (although you have nice hot water) you are indeed on a tropical island.

The bar serves tropical shakes and cocktails and in the restaurant you will be able to find a wide variety of Thai and Western style dishes.

Pearl Beach Resort

Pearl Beach Resort is situated just behind our dive center. The Bungalows (fan and airconditioned) are builed in a charming Thai style and have an outside shower and toilet. In the fan rooms you have a moskito net, cold water shower and a wide veranda outside, where you can relax. The airconditioned bungalows are cement style bungalows and are build at the back of the resort. Pearl Beach Bungalows are build in and around a lush tree area, which cools down your bungalow.

Next to the reception their is a small Internet place and a big restaurant, with a small outside bar. A's (the owners name) family will make you feel right at home

Pearl has generaly a lot of backpackers staying there, except for the December & January month.

In a tropical garden, with a small road to Long beach, 1 minute from the Dive Center, with a small pool for children.

Papillon Resort Papillon Bungalows is located near the lovely white sands of Long Beach (or Phrae Ae Beach) just off the main road about 3km from the main town Ban Saladan. Papillon has 9 bungalows, a quaint homey restaurant, an original swimming pool and a lush garden. The menu in the restaurant offers Thai and Western food and has also some Belgian bakery specialties. You can relax and enjoy the beautiful garden full of exotic plants and palm trees while lounging by the swimming pool.
