Dive Trips
Palm Beach Divers takes divers and snorkelers and students for Padi dive courses out on diving and snorkeling trips straight from the beach of Long Beach in front of the resort on Lanta, in Thailand.
Our Dive Trips go out to the areas of :
The boat departs from the beach in front of Lanta Palm Beach Resort. We leave at around 8.00 am for Koh Phi Phi and Koh Ha, and at 7.00 am for Hin Daeng and Hin Muang by big boat or at 8.00 am by speedboat.
These are full day trips, so you will be back in the late afternoon. We like to ensure that the pace of the day is relaxed so that we don't have to hurry. This way, we can offer you a relaxed, safe and fun day out on the boat. We divide our dive groups according to each diver's level of experience and try to keep diving group sizes small, so that each of our customers has the perfect underwater experience. Our Padi dive masters are experienced in the diving area, you are going to be diving in.
Every day we have the possibility to do an extra dive or snorkel trip on our boat. If you would like to use this dive for a Padi or AWARE scuba diving course, please let us know, so we can arrange this (you will be charged a different price then). We charge 1 extra fun dive on a boat for only 1.200 Thai Baht .

Prices for scuba diving include full diving equipment, dive guide, breakfast, lunch, coffee/tea, water and soda's. We have VHF radio, emergency oxygen and first aid on all our boats. We bring out fish slates on every dive trip and encourage you to identify the fish. When we arrive back from diving, you can log your dives outside our Padi 5* dive shop, from where you can also watch the sunset.

Snorkeling Trips
Our snorkeling trips go out each day to Koh Ha and Ko Phi Phi, or to some of the beautiful small islands in Lanta's National Marine Park. The water is crystal clear and shallow and the islands themselfs have long white powdery sandy beaches, where you can explore the jungle or a cave.
The Emerald Cave at Koh Muk, is also worth a visit. Swim down an underwater tunnel, before arriving inside a completely enclosed lagoon area, lit from below by the most extra ordinary Emerald green light. If you are new to snorkeling, or would like some more guidance and tuition, we offer a one-day Padi Discover Snorkeling Course.
Snorkeling prices include lunch, water, soda's, mask, snorkel, fins, lifejackets and a snorkeling guide. We have VHF radio and first aid on all our boats. We bring out fish slates to every snorkeling trip to help you identify all the beautiful fish you will see. The snorkeling trips depart at around 8.00 am and return in the late afternoon at around 4.00 pm.Max. groupsize per guide: 6 snorkelers to 1 guide. Children under the age of 5 need to snorkeling and supervized by the parent (s) the whole tour.
Padi and AWARE Snorkeling Courses
* Padi Discover Snorkeling: never snorkeled before ? A bit scared or not a water 
talent ? No worries, you can start of the beach here in water where you can stand up in, we offer lifejackets and personal coaching. If you feel well after one day, then you can take your guide with you to our snorkel sites in Open Water.You will see it is easy and you can have lot's of fun ! No minimum age, children (until 18 years) need written permission from their parents. This is fun for the whole family !!!
* Padi's Shark AWAREness Distinct Snorkeling Speciality Course: after ca. 2,5 hour classroom discussions with 
video's and your Padi instructor, you will go out to safely interact with sharks, while snorkeling. Don't worry: we do not have aggressive sharks, but we do need to learn some information about them to be able to protect them and find them ! After the snorkeling you will get a Padi Shark AWAREness certification card, which also contributes to the funding for the anti-sharkfinning and the protect the reef and protect the shark campaigns of project AWARE. * AWARE Coral Reef classroom course (one of the best books about nature is included in this course) in combination with your snorkeling trip. Nice to do with your whole family !! Is around 5 hours classroom, also with video and breaks in the classroom and the next day we go out snorkeling to have a look at the reef. After the snorkeling you will get an AWARE Coral Conservation certification card, with which you sponsor the protect the reef campaigns of project AWARE. * Padi Digital Underwater Photography Speciality Course Level 1: our Padi instructor will teach you how to make 
nice pictures and what to account for when making under water pictures.You can do this Padi snorkeling course either with your own camera (in a housing) or with one of our rental camera's. After this Padi snorkeling course you will be able to make nicer picture while snorkeling, you will have some cool souvenirs to bring back home and you will receive a Padi Certification Card. This Padi snorkeling course comes with a Padi Photography Manual, a white slate and a sessions how to work with photoshop, where we will burn your pictures on CD-rom or DVD aswell.
* We also offer Emergency First Response (EFR) Courses (CPR, rescue breathing and first aid), Child Care Courses (for first aid for children) & Padi Emergency Oxygen Courses for non-divers and divers. So if you can not dive (ear infection) or you do not want to dive, you can still have fun and learn something. For people who would like to contribute to the environment, the Coral Reef or the normal AWARE course, are classroom courses,which are very interesting and they can be taught in combination with a beach clean up. There are no age or other requirements for you to be able to participate in these EFR and Padi courses !
* Ofcourse you can also start with diving, have a look at Padi Discover Scuba Diving or Try diving. But if you think you want to stick to snorkeling, then that is also cool with us !
Dive with Nitrox
For all our certified scuba divers, we offer diving using Nitrox tanks at a small surcharge. Please notice that most of our multiple day scuba diving packages have free of charge Nitrox included.

You must take a PADI Nitrox Speciality Course, or Discover Nitrox Course before you can dive using Enriched Air - we offer both PADI Nitrox Speciality Courses and Discover Nitrox at Palm Beach Divers on Koh Lanta, in Thailand.

Similans Trips
The Similan Islands are reputed to be one of the top-ten diving destinations in the world. With stunning visibility of up to 40 metres and a huge variety of marine life, from the very small to the very large, it truly is a fantastic place to dive.
